Marathon 13 - Mississippi Story*Training*Injury*Schedule*Spectators*Statistics

The Mississippi marathon was run down the desolate Nachez Trace Parkway, a 2 lane (one in each direction) shoulderless road.

A cold January 11th morning brought out about 160 runners, and about that many volunteers.

4 or 5 water stops in this out and back course was enough, and the later ones had plenty of candy (the awesome caramels did it for me) to get us to the finish. No Photo at the finish -- and I live for the finish-line picture -- but I kept passing someone with a camera (who got me a few times).
