The second in the series took me to Oregon. Another Saturday race, with an un-easy connection into Portland, and a 3 hour drive to the coast had me leave MHT on the first flight out
This meant a stay at the airport going and returning.
Tiny, low key, Packet Pickup at the Embarcadero, then a trip across the Yaquina Bay Bridge to check into a LaQuinta, and then to the Newport High School to Carbo load.
Billed as net-flat, I should have realized that Mount Everest is net Flat... Rolling hills thoughout made this tougher than I expected.
Pretty, and well supported on this out and back run, along the Yaquina bay and bits of the coast
A wardrobe malfunction made for some embarrassing moments
The road was cambered, very sharply, and that caused some issues
I kept a 10 minute pace thru the half, but fell apart shortly afterward
